How to build a stirplate !!!

So for the power converter all you actually need is an old cell phone charger that should do the trick and the Magnet is from an old hard drive the harder thing to get would be a teflon or ceramic coated stir bar I will ask Thomas where to get them !!!

wonder if this would work well enough ? a USB stirplate would be cool !!! for us geeks out there

I think I may build myself a USB stirplate !!!!

based on a few things I have read you can get a nice vortex going with as little as 3 volts and USB produce up to 5 Volts sooooo that means this could work for sure.....

I'd strongly suggest not using USB for a power source... 5 volts it may be, but the total power is low. Better off hooking it up to a wall DC adapter and not risking your motherboard.
