tbh the jacpac I'm looking at looks like it has a paintball CO2 canister as stock... would have to check.

yes, jacpac comes with a 9oz paintball tank...no problems filling them.

Richard

So what makes them more worthwhile than the adapter w/reg + trimmings?

well.....right now, hard to say as they're fully discontinued and pretty much gone. When regular price, these were over 100.

lets compare shall we:

jacpac $19.83+tx= $22.41 + $5(tank fill?) = $27.41 + gas QD($6?) = $34ish out of the gate and on your way. jacpac comes with built in reg, saving your expensive reg from being broken if tipped over, also has a hose too.

adapter $14.99+tx = $17+shipping?lets say $5? = $22 + painball tank? $30? + regulator(probably already have, but lets add it in) $50? plus tank fill $5 + gas QD and hose $10? = over $100

Richard

Wow ok... didn't realise they were so cheap. Shame they're hard to come by now.

I was just into cdn tire, and there was two on the shelf....back up to $69.99 though. When i called earlier in the week to check on one for someone else, all stores accross the maritimes were showing zero, with them fully discontinued now. With the few remaining in stores, it seems each store may set their own price maybe?...i dunno.

I have one of those Jacpacs btw - they are extremely handy. I use it for quick charge ups (like when a keg is traveling) and also to add some CO2 to a secondary before I rack as well.... The extra regulator is what makes it so handy... I almost have all the fittings to be able to charge it from my main CO2 tanks as well...
