So, what's the purpose? Easy removal of the grain when you're done mashing?

Single vessel, full volume brewing. Cuts down on brew day length and clean up quite a bit

Those bags are great. A lot of the Brewnosers are now using them.

I know what BIAB is, but I think Chris is talking about using one to line a picnic cooler-type mash tun.

I think that cooler one is pretty cool... Keeps things a bit cleaner and easy clean up... good option for people looking for a mash screen

This might work as a huge hop screen in my boil kettle, would it not?

Jimmy, the guy that's selling these actually uses one for his MLT (cooler). As you mentioned easier clean up, and he's also found sparging faster as he can have the valve open a lot wider than with a bazooka or hose braid.

I would indeed work as a hop screen, there'll actually be some bags made of slightly different materials for that purpose available soon, after a bit of testing I believe.

Anything that simplifies cleanup would be good XD.

You still have to clean the mesh bag. I think that'd be a pain in the ass.

I'm with CC on this one. I'd much rather clean a hard surface cooler than a massive bag ... I know how much of a pain in the ass a hop sock can be to clean and this would be 10x the size of that

Yup, I agree. I would imagine there's more reasons than clean up though, storage space, equipment cost, etc.

When I clean the grain bag, it's pretty easy and fast. Much better than the gummy hop bag. I shake it out in the compost and rinse it twice in the sink. Drip dry. Then I have a beer :-)
