I plan to make a fermentation chamber with this puppy.  The controller will be set up kind of like this: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/ebay-fish-tank-controller-build-using-wal-mart-parts-261506/

The idea is to take the door off a bar fridge, and attach it to an insulated box big enough to hold 2 carboys.  There will be a small fan inside the fridge to move cool air out to the chamber.  The will also be a small box heater in there.

The whole setup is costing me about $100. Not too bad.

I have one of those on my desk, I haven't built it yet though.

Chris Craig

Do you have an idea of how you're going to use it?  Plans?

For now, I'll use it to control my Kegerator.  Eventually, I'll use it to control my fermentation chamber.

I bought a box the same as this: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/ebay-aq ... ld-163849/

FWIW I have one of those controllers you posted the picture of - bloody excellent (and cheap!) little gizmo.

Where did you get the box?  I'm looking for one, but they're hard to find.

Richard

Looks like a standard "Project Box"; you can get them at Canadian Tire.

Most guys get them from Radio Shack, 6"x4"x2".  However, our stores, don't carry that size.

If you search on ebay for them, there are tons.  Like Richard said, they are called project boxes.

You can also order project boxes from Digikey IIRC.
