Where is the best place to buy quality hops at reasonable prices? I would love to find 1lb packages, foiled and nitrogen.

I have purchased hops from a couple different locations with reasonable prices but the packaging sometimes makes my wonder how they were stored prior to being shipped.

I have not had any crazy issues with hops to date, other than some aroma hops seem to deteriorate quicker than I would expect.

Yakima is your best quality of hops and packaging. But, not necessarily reasonable prices due to the exchange rate right now.

OBK has great prices for hops, and lots of varieties to choose from.

Agreed, OBK has invested a lot of money in their hop packing and storing processes.

QuoteUnpacked today. Same machine Hopunion uses and technology.

Over the next 6-8 weeks as we get the bags printed (same material as hop union) and our larger capacity nitrogen generator set up our packaging will be changing. All Our hops will be pillow packed like potato chips with no vacuum.

This will not decrease the quality of the product and will be no reason to be alarmed if get a order of mixed vacuum packs as inventory is rotated.

This part is plan and may not happen: We are also planning to make a return of crushed grains. We will be nitrogen purging the bags if we do this to ensure longest shelf life of crushed grains ever in a homebrew shop! This I am 99.9% positive is a first.

I was in Noble Grape today and they have # bags for $24. Given the convenience factor, the extra couple of $ over the other options is ok, esp if you are in a hurry. Not sure if they are in foil, but the oz bags were vacuum packed in foil.

All of the above, and also beergrains.com has good hops pricing. Bought all my supply last year from them, as at the time he was beating the OBK prices. Everwood has also been really competitive in hop pricing as well, plus he gives the club a discount.

I purchased hops from Dave Everwood for the first time this week. The hops were vacuum sealed, well packaged and smelled great. I would buy from him again.
