Title: Sorachi Ace Hops
Post by: Hawoh on August 23, 2011, 11:29:56 AM
I have 188g of 10.7% AA Sorachi Ace hops (pellet) that I'm willing to trade for other hops of equal value.

There are plenty that I'm interested in, but EKG in particular is one that I am in need of.

Here's what I have in stock in quantities greater than 8 oz...that's enough to give up some...

Amarillo 9.3% AA
Cascade Pellet Hops A/A 4.8 -7.0%
Chinook 10.5%
Czech Saaz Leaf Hops A/A: 3.1%
Magnum US Leaf Hops A/A: 12.9%
Nugget Leaf Hops A/A 15.1%
Nugget Pellet Hops A/A 12.0-14.2%
Organic Fuggle (UK) Pellet Hops A/A 4.0-5.5%
US Northern Brewer Pellet Alpha Acid 9.0%
Willamette Leaf Hops Alpha Acid 5.1%
Willamette Pellet Hops A/A 4.5 - 7.0%

Unfortunately I've only got 4 oz of EKG, you missed the bulk mini-order on hops by a couple of weeks, I split half a pound with Jake, could easily have split a full pound 3 ways.  We brought in 8 pounds total with 11 varieties.

I certainly see some options of interest there. We should be able to work something out.

I missed the order... I'm not privy to such things.

nice selection John  :D .

departing from what John already offered, I also have:

Challenger pellet hops, 5.6% a/a (Wicked in stout)
Columbus pellet hops, unknown a/a (from hops direct, but lost the label)

I highly reccomend the U.K. organic fuggles (5.8% a/a). Someone served beer with those a while back, and then a bunch of us ordered them.

I don't have the required trade (or so much of a selection of alternatives as JohnQ), but I'd like to get a couple of ounces of this to try a sapporo clone. I used to love that stuff with sushi back in Edinburgh and I've been flirting pretty hard with rice beer lately.

I do have the organic fuggles to trade.

At Label Peelers the Sorachi goes for the standard $2/oz, so a straight trade for any of the stuff I've got is fine.
If RB and Kyle each want 2 oz, then Hawoh can get all 6.5 oz he wants from me if you like and we can re-trade them/lend them, whatever. I'll make sure you each get some anyway.

thanks John, sounds like a plan.

bulk mini-order, hehe. IIRC the last regular hops order was at least 40 pounds.

Since nobody weighed in with any EKG, I'm leaning towards the >> Organic Fuggle (UK) Pellet Hops A/A 4.0-5.5%

Unless somebody chimes in with an undeniable offer, we can make arrangements for a trade...

I have a vague recollection that you're near to me, so if you'd like I can trade you weight-weight, then get the rest to Kyle (who can thereon pass some on to JQ). Makes for the minimum distance traveled by each person.

That sounds good RB, your Organic Fuggle can do the trick and then Kyle and I can replenish yours, or you can have something else if you want.

Cool.

Hawoh: let me know when you want to trade.

Done & dusted. I have them if you want to trade something else for some?
