So until I find a kegerator I have a small chest freezer with a temp controller. It fits a keg and the CO2 tank quite nicely and for now uses a plastic tap. A couple nights ago I poured a glass of beer, set the tap on top of the keg, and closed the lid. While I'm enjoying my beer, I start to hear a hissing sound, so I walk over to my freezer and this is what I find...

The entire content of the keg is sitting in the bottom. I'm guessing the tap was pushed by the freezer top. If there was ever a time for a beer...
Booo to that. Drink it fast!
Shitty deal! Good excuse to pick yourself up some perlick taps.
Man that sucks!!
I'm with roger... it would be easy enough to build a collar out of 2x6 and add a tap... then you can always use that equipment later. If you're not concerned about pretty, it would be easy and cheap.
