Hey everyone,
I'm going to be spending a little over 2 weeks driving down to Orlando, FL and back. Does anyone have anything they'd like me to look out for that I can bring back for them? I'm planning on hitting up at least one brew supplies shop on the way home.
I'm going to be staying in New York, D.C., Orlando and the way back is pretty open, any recommendations for places to stop?
As far as a beer if you happen to see any Pliney the Elder I'd love the opportunity to give that one a try. Looks like I'm going to Vermont soon so I'll try to grab some Heady Topper. Maybe we could do a head to head between the two. :cheers:

As for beers I here great things about Zombie Dust IPA.
I would love to try Pliny or Headdy, I've never had the pleasure of having either.

Just came back from the US with my allowed allotment of US brews imported back.
Also stopped at a wicked brew supply place in Connecticut called Maltose Express, in Monroe, CT. Well worth a stop if you are in the area, they specialize in extract and full grains clone brew kits, as well they have some of their own recipes, and are the authors of a couple of Clone Brew books that are currently on the market.
Top that off that they are some generously nice people, and will bend over backwards to help you out. Plus they usually have a couple of beers on tap to try out. One was a Belgian Summer Ale, which was so good I came home with an extract kit of it (along with 2 others). They had 2 taps going, plus one I tried from a bottle (no idea what it was, but it was good), he then asked me what my favorite style was, to which I replied IPA, and he said hold on, went out back and poured off a 1/4 pitcher of one that had just became ready for us to try (almost bought that one as well).
Well worth a stop in, plus they do mail order as well.

You can get your hands on Pliny in Philadelphia but I think that may be it in terms of the east coast from what I'm told.
Heady Topper they sell it within 15 miles of where they brew it in VT. That one might be tricky to get as well. Wherever you go, there probably won't be a shortage of good beers that you'll run into.

Picked up one Cigar City beer on Long Island, Cucumber Saison in a 750ml. The place had a couple of others in cans, but the guy didn't want to break up 6 packs.

The Belmont and Newton stores are close to the 95, but if you are avoiding the 95 through Boston and taking the 495 around Boston, they have a store just off of it in Westford.
I was into the Westford store twice on my most recent trip, all 3 stores boast 1000+ different craft beers.
