Title: Prepping bottles for competition

I'm wondering about the best way to bottle my competition entry.  Would it be best to bottle condition 4 bottles and keg the rest?  If I don't have a beer gun, can I just pour from the faucet until foam reaches the top to force all the air out?

Personally I prefer the bubbles from bottle condition vs forced co2.  Bubbles are finer

Chris, your entry should be poured into an open pan, agitated thoroughly and then poured with a funnel into the glass!

Alternatively, if you bring a keg to the MO, you can use the Beer gun.

I dont think there's any need to actually pour to the pan first, simply pour to the bottle, but wait for the bubbles to fall before charging the headspace in the bottle with O2 from your yeast aerating tank. Then cap....

Don't be like that Senior...Chris, don't listen to him...pour 2L into a plastic water pitcher (should be clean but could still have some orange juice in it), let it sit for 45 mins or so to settle, then carefully pour into your bottles, cap, then shake to produce bubbles.

But seriously, I would use a growler filler from your tap, then add 1/4 the amount of bottling sugar you normally would to carbonate.  this will help maintain the existing CO2 and put a little pressure in the bottle.
