Substituting hops in a recipe
« on: August 15, 2013, 01:03:41 PM »
I did a pale ale and dry hoped with Galxy.  It turned out really well.  I will bring a grwoler to the meeting on Saturday.  My brewing partner is going to dry hop with Palisade.  The galaxy had a aau of 14.5% and the palisades has an aau of 8%.  If it called for 1.5 oz of Galaxy, do I use 1.5 oz of Palisade or do I up that based on a formula???
Fermenting: Air
On Tap: Hoppy Porter
Bottled:  Air

I think you'll be fine with 1.5oz
