Growing hops
« on: April 04, 2012, 01:02:39 PM »
So against all odds one of my plants survived being cut down last august, not being watered all september, sitting on an exposed deck with no insulation all winter, and still managed to send up 6-8 shoots as of yesterday! I dont have much hope for the other plants so my question is this: does anyone think it would be possible to cut the sprouting root mass into 3-4 chunks (dirt included) and re-plat them into new pots? They are currently growing in 4 gallon buckets, which after the tremendous growing season last year is now more root then soil.
