Who uses a sight glass hermometer combo on their kettles?

Just curious if anyone uses these on their kettles.  I guess I can see the point of a sight glass, but what about a thermometer?

If you're using an immersion chiller, the thermometer would be useful...

Yeah I have a sight tube on both keggles now. I don't use the therm port (a Pete's plug) for my boil kettle though), just for my HLT when heating for the mash...
