Moving to Fredericton
« on: May 05, 2012, 03:05:27 PM »
Hey guys!

It's nice to be part of the NB Craft Brewers Association! In late August, I'll be moving to Fredericton in order to continue my studies at St. Thomas University, so I plan to take part of as many meetings as I can be at. Also, I look forwards to learning from you all. So far I've successfully brewed 3 canned kits (Brew Canada's "Canadian Red Beer," Munton's "Irish-Style Stout," and "Blonde Beer" from the same), and I feel that I'll soon be ready to start making some real craft brew. Still reading Palmer's book on home-brewing.

I'll be moving into a residence hall, so I'll be housing my brewing equipment at a friend's apartment. After that, if I can get a decent job I just might get my own place in your lovely city.

Anyways, see you guys soon. Cheers!

Welcome.

I think you'll find that the FestaBrew type kit are of better quality than the canned extract kits.  You might want to try one of them as a next step.  When you re-locate to Fredericton, you should tag-along with someone that is brewing an all grain batch.

Good call on the Festabrew.  Better still, you can get an extract kit from Noble Grape if you have a 3 gallon pot.

As for tagging along on a brew day...pick a day, and I'm sure at least one of us is brewing

I'm moving in to Holy Cross House at St. Thomas, so I'll be just a block away from that store! :-) I'll definitely check it out.
