Nice - looks like you'd need a sankey stem for each tap though.

Hmm - I wonder why the internal bladder is only one time use?

Not actually a bladder, but a 5 gallon PET bottle.

I saw these a few months ago at the manufacturers site...

Sounds like manufactured obsolescence masquerading as quality control to me.

When one considers the cost of cleaning sankey kegs these have, at least. a short term advantage. I may consider a pallet of 48 kegs. If anyone is interested I can sell extras at cost. My understaning is that they are $23 - $25 and the refills are $10 - $13.

I think these will be a lot more interesting once the second hand corney kegs run dry. Probably a better proposition for a brewery rather than a home brewer until then.

They're just gigantic PET beer bottles, like a 500 ml plastic bottle x 20, they'd clean up fine.

It's how they're attached to the dispensing head that might be the issue, I haven't seen one close up enough to try and figure out how they connect, but I'm pretty certain the manufacturer has made them single use some how. Either that or you'd just need a Marks Keg Washer to Sanitize the PET bottle, and away you'd go.

When I first started looking in to these, I tried to find a manufacturer who was making just a PET bottle of this size, available by itself.  Then one could fashion a corny cap for it and replace the market for used kegs with the newly modified invention, alas, no luck.

Have to keep eyes open for a chance to buy one and check it out. At $33 to $38 a piece, if the pet bottle can be cleaned and reused it might be a real nice option...
