High Pressure Gas Fittings
« on: April 27, 2011, 11:34:54 AM »
I've had a great deal of trouble finding certain specialized gas fittings in Fredericton, however, the store below apparently has all of them and more. I haven't been there yet, but I'll be heading over later this week:

Electric Motor Service Co

Am beginning to wonder (as an observer) if you guys wouldn't be better hitting eBay or something else internet-ish for this stuff.

was trying to buy/support local. Would rather not pay $10 for shipping on a $2 item. If i don't find any, i'll just run what i got.

I'm thinking the club could bulk-buy some of the cheaper, common fittings.

I still have one more place to try, will post up if any success.

As for ordering bulk on fittings, i don't see the need as its just as easy to buy the common ones locally. With the regulators, the HI sides are LHT, while the low sides are RHT...both 1/4...so same as air fittings(hardware stores, PA, etc).....but the high sides are LHT 1/4, which is rare cause very few applications use LHT, except some propane...can't remember what else.

When i built my manifold, i just used all compressed air parts from PA.....the manifold, the barbs, lines, and hose clamps from there were reasonably priced......now if bought at HD or other hardware stores, you're looking at double your price from what i've seen with their prices.

Phoned, with no luck.

I haven't had time to go there myself yet, but the fittings that I want, and they said they have were to adapt a paintball universal fill adapter (1/8" NPT RHT) to my new FOXX Chudnow regulator (1/4" NPT RHT).

I gave up on connecting the FOXX Hi side RHT regulator to the Cornielous Hi side LHT regulator.

Sorry if I confused you.

oh ok...yeah, RHT fittings can be had at alot of places in town....the LHT not so much...uggh

I emailed hopdawgs to see about pricing for the fittings.....if i have to order, i'll try to keep it in the country if price is decent to avoid extra border fees, etc.

Well, ordered what i thought (and he stated) was a LHT to RHT fitting....arrived and its both RHT.    It was the fitting on the Foxx add a reg....which was supposed to be a LHT to RHT fitting. I clearly understand you're problem now Kyle....as i beleive i got the same fitting which is wrong. Going to email him to see about the mixup.
