Good idea, or great idea?

So im about to brew a lager, and had the sudden idea to jam a bung onto the treads of a keg and shove in the air lock. Is this a good idea, or should I quit while I'm ahead?

looks good to me!  if you're using the airlock during fermentation, I'd suggest maybe a blow off tube, then the airlock for lagering?
