Just heard on the news on the way to work that the fire started inside a wall and sprinklers were not effective. The firefighters had to tear out all the walls, ouch. There were 30 Firefighters working it.
The Firefighter did say they were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the adjoining buildings, so hopefully that's good news for Pic's, but I fear we're in need of another meeting spot for some time now.

Doug seemed pretty choked up about the whole thing. Hopefully some good will come from it, aye.

On the radio this morning he was quite a bit more realistic, best case, end of Feb, worst case a few months.
Adam says the guys doing the rebuild were in his place on Saturday getting some stuff to start work...sounded pretty ugly.

smoke, fire, and water damage = complete 100% tear out and rebuild.  That will take some time.
Also depends on the insurance company...they won't pay extra for it to be done quickly unless it's in their best interest.

At first you think "poor Doug and Shane" because it was their livelyhood and an awesome place, but there's also the awesome waitresses, bartenders, cooks, etc who are all out of a job too....
