I saw this; was nice to see them pushing the craft beer - felt like a bit of a gimmick, but damned if I care :)

I agree who cares. Actually, the story came about as a side note to another "want to have a beer with the President" story, so not so gimmicky maybe? Either way... who knew the President was a home brewer!? Cool I say.

Well yes indeed the Whitehouse chef's brewed it, but Obama bought the equipment with his own money, so it says. One might expect his job is a little busy ;-) Maybe when he's out of office he will open a bewpub or microbewery, lol.

Pfft he's only running the country, surely he can tackle a 5-hour brew-day in between negotiating trade agreements or whatever other stuff he does to look busy?

There was more sarcasm heaped into that one sentence that I can properly convey with words :P

I wonder if we asked nicely, if they would send us a bottle. After all we do have the National Craft Brewing URL. We can represent Canada on the Craft Brewing front
