C02 in Saint John
« on: April 28, 2013, 10:08:34 AM »
Hey Guys,
Great meeting yesterday, nice to be able to put some faces with names. Just in case things don't work out at atlantic fire tomorrow does anyone know of a place in SJ to get tanks filled?
I have never pretended to be something I'm not, except sober, I have pretended to be sober a few times.

check to see if there is an Air Liquide in SJ, they are your other option.

I believe Praxair in SJ will fill same day if you drop off in am, and pick up in pm.
When I went, they just swapped.

Im new to kegging, so haven't had to get a refill myself, but a place I was going to check when I do need a refill is Viking Fire Protection.  They are on the east side close to Praxair.

I don't know for sure if they regularly do co2 refills, my uncle got a refill for a better price than Praxair&Air Liquide and they did it right on the spot,  Im pretty sure this was the place he went, may be worth a call first :)

Sorry, I should have checked first, it is not Viking that did the refill for my uncle, it was a small company called Whittaker, L E Co Ltd (506-633-2911).  They are in the same area and also are a fire extinguisher business, i got them mixed up.  So yeah, you should try them instead of Viking LOL.

I ended up getting it filled at Atlantic fire and safety but.. praxair  in SJ would have done it tomorrow for $59 for a 20#er. Fire and safety charged $74 and change and it wasn't completely empty. It stlll had a pound in it. Also I went to  Air Liquid but they only fill in moncton

Next time you need a fill in Fredericton try Glenn kennedy in Lincoln.  I got a 15lb filled for $42.  He picked it up at my house and delivered later that day for no extra charge.

Hey WL yup a lot of us use Glenn for fills, he can definitely be very accommodating, although as you mention he's more for the Fredericton crowd.

We (the club) have been making some effort to keep track of our CO2 fills in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1124
