Attachment quota reached???
« on: April 25, 2013, 09:21:38 AM »
Any idea what's up with not being able to post pics?  Keep getting a message that the board attachment quota has been reached...

That's a setting on the board.  It's set to 50MB total.  I guess we've reached that max.  I've always just uploaded images to imageshack.us and linked directly to them.  They've always shown up inline.

Richard, is there a reason for the 50MB max?

Mostly just keeping bandwidth down - the site gets backed up every night, including all the images etc.

I'd rather they linked from elsewhere - like Chris said, http://imageshack.us/ is a great service.

I've upped the quota to 500MB - 50MB is rather excessively limited. The per-file quota is just 256Kb, which is going to remain - to remind people not to just upload images off their digital cameras at 2 megs a pop or something :)
