So I'm cruising the beer sites looking for the places I must try and fit in to the trip to Davis, CA in early February for the Mead Makers Course at UCDavis...and when I checked out what was happening at http://russianriverbrewing.com/ (http://russianriverbrewing.com/) I find out that the release date for this year's "younger" is the day after I get there! If we can fit it in to the schedule and stand the wait, we're going to make it a mission!
The other place is actually only a half hour west of UCDavis and it really should be called the Vatican since the Pope built it...http://hereticbrewing.com/home (http://hereticbrewing.com/home) Might have to drop in twice since I need to drive by twice!
And of course there will be Rabbit's Foot Meadery and San Francisco Mead that need a stop by, too!

The only thing I'll promise on this trip is that if I get to meet Vinnie, I'll beg him to let me put some "Younger" in to a plastic bottle that can come in my luggage home for a taste at the next meeting.

Have fun! I am going to Stone in March for the third time. Would love to do a tour of Russian River if I can get that far north.
