Title: Hefeweizen
Post by: ECH on April 26, 2014, 08:17:54 PM
Well bottled my first beer in about 6yrs yesterday. This was an extract kit from OBK

Naming it,  Hanwell Weizen Könige, since I am on the Hanwell, and it is a wheat beer (apparently more a German than a Belgian wheat beer)

On the boil

Ready to bottle about 10 days later

Nice color, I always do at least one clear bottle, just to see how it looks, and how it changes as it ages.

Tasted pretty good out of the bucket despite no carbonation, will see how it is in a couple of weeks!

All in all, was a fun process. Can't wait to get started on the West Coast IPA once my wort chiller arrives.

Cool idea with the clear bottle.  I never would have thought of that.
