Other question though, does DME stand for dried malt extract? I have only ever used the liquid malt extract. Anything specific I might want to know about using the dried version? I typically just pour in the liquid after my initial grain boil when the kettle isn't on heat then stir to fully incorporate it before bringing it back up to a boil. I assume I do something similar with the dried extract as well. Sorry
Also I assume Carafoam is a grain? Where do you purchase it? I acquire all of my brew supplies at Noble Grape but perhaps there are other places in Fredericton? I like the idea of steeping at least one grain as otherwise it just really feels like cheating!
