Chris, you have a nice big garage - Do it!
Or even better, get yourself a nice 40 quart kettle with BV and Thermometer and one of these: http://www.webstaurantstore.com/avantco ... 2A240.html

You'll need an induction ready kettle, but those aren't any harder to get.
You'll also need to get a dedicated standard 220V plug. No big deal either.  

Unless you want to go 10gallon (or more!)- then you gotta get something else.
