Wowsers, this actually makes a ton of sense, and seems a heckuva lot easier then wiring a ton of crap together....how much does wiring your own elements cost I wonder?

Yea not a bad looking rig. But one hour to bring to boil is kinda slow. I'd get 2 of em (if you can afford it) to speed up the process

When you consider that a 220volt hot water heater element can churn out about 4-5 times the power, it makes this one, while really cool, seem less worthwhile. I think a diy 220v version would come in at about $275, not including the GFCI.
