Title: Kegerator Gas Tubing

Well I finally got around to getting a kegerator setup... I went with a 2 tap passthrough kit with corny ball lock kegs and am hoping to find an old fridge to install it in this week.

Where is the best place to find tubing and to get CO2 tanks filled in the Fredericton area?
I'm hoping to find some red gas line tube...

Ontariobeerkegs.com is a great place for kegging equipment, but I've used 1/4" hi pressure water hose from Kent before.  You need to heat the ends of the tubing in boiling water to make them pliable enough to fit over the barbs, but it works.

I get my CO2 at Atlantic Fire & Safety.  They fill while you wait.

I've been using the thick walled 3/16th beer line. I force carb at 30 psi with it with no problems. I've come to hate the red stuff bc I can't see if beer shoots up my gas line, which has happened to me in the past

So there is a thread in the Member Orders forum where people have been tracking their CO2 fills. There are a few:

Atlantic Fire and Safety - more expensive but convenient
Air Liquide - lease bottles - convenient as you just exchange tanks when you need a fill
Glenn Kennedy - Lincoln - if you call first you can take your tank to him and fill while you wait, or sometimes he will pickup / drop off for you

There's also Praxair, they swap bottles on a kind of rental basis, not sure how it's working nowadays, they just traded my old bottle in even though it wasn't theirs, and I've used theirs as mine since.

Thanks all... I stopped by Atlantic Fire & Safety on Wilsey road and they need to do a Hydro test on the tank.
$35 for testing and $25 for filling the 5lb tank.

$25 fill is pretty good. The hydro test is good for 5 years i believe.

Yeah 25 bucks is a sweet deal, praxair here in Woody charges me 38 I believe and I own the bottle.

I think the best deal in town for a 5#er is from Glen Kennedy,
Club members only pay $2.40/lb plus $6 per fill, that works out to $18+tax.
You have to tell him you're a club member though, normally it's about $10 more.

Got tank filled by Kennedy. Good service. $22.60 for a 5lb tank.
