My CO2 emptied over the weekend, so it's time to fill. I found some older posts on this, but nothing recent so I wanted to check where people are getting theirs filled. Last year I went to Atlantic Fire & Safety and it was about $25 for a 5 lb fill... is there anywhere else I should check into?

The only other place is a guy named Glen Kennedy.  You probably saw his hame in other posts.  It's not going to be much of a difference in price though.  I use AF&S personally.

Thanks Chris... Hopefully they can fill on the spot. Last year I had to leave it, but she said if the tech was there he could have done it while I wait.

Good thing with Glenn is you can drop it off, and he will deliver it back to you. He just fills in a little tiny building stuffed full of extinguishers. But you can wait while he fills as well. He is like 21 and change for a 5lb.

Glen is out in Lincoln, his number is 506-458-9750 - another benefit of Glen is he will fill your tank literally any time if he's around and able, weekends... whenever.

He's out and about quite a bit and the last several times he has picked up my tank and dropped it back off usually the next day. But you can always go to him and he will fill on the spot.

Since I had the tank in the car and planned to do it today, I decided to run down to AFS at 1:15 and they filled on the spot, $29.05 tax included for a 5 lb tank.

Half of that cost was the fill charge.  The price per pound goes down as the tank size goes up.  You may want to look into trading up to a 10 or 20lb tank.  You'll eventually start saving money.

And of course with bigger tanks you'll have to brew more as well, and get a bigger fridge, more kegs....
