Easily add wheels to your freezer
« on: September 01, 2014, 11:52:20 AM »
Hey folks, I wanted to share a solution to a problem I had. I have my keezer set up in my laundry room, and space is at a bit of a premium in there. The keezer also has a 6 inch collar on it, so it needs a lot of clearance against the wall to open up, so I needed to find a way to easily move it out from the wall, if I need to open it, which is fairly frequently.

I looked around at some build plans to make a frame with castors, but it looked like a PITA and it would raise the height of the freezer by about 6 inches, so it wasn't an attractive option. Then, I found these at Home Depot for $17. They are called appliance rollers, and were really hard to find, so I had to ask someone and they knew exactly what I meant.

They work great, you just set the length, and sit the freezer on top of them, and now it will pull out and push back in with little effort, and it doesn't shake up the kegs. The rollers only work in a straight line, but that was perfect for me!
