Broke Kegerator Frigde Installing Beer Tower Today!!
« on: February 26, 2012, 07:48:37 PM »
Here's my rant for the day ... I picked up a dual tower from a fellow who bought it OBK and couldn't use it for $85. Started to install it in my customized 3.3 cft Sanyo mini fridge. During the install I stated to hear a hissing sound and realized that the coolant was leaking out of the system from a small crack in the cooling plate! My wife realized how disappoint I was and sent me on a mission to shop for a new fridge for my birthday (which is Tuesday). Since it was Sunday at 4:15 the shopping had to happen quick if this project was going to be completed today. Headed off shopping with a corney keg in one hand and a tape measure in the other to Walmart (nothing suitable here), Zellers (nothing suitable here) and Futureshop (booyah!). Headed home to start the installation of the tower ...

Here is a list of the components I used:

Sunbeam Mini Fridge 4.3 cft - $159.97 (Future Shop)
Dual Tower - $85 (http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/product_ ... %20tap.htm)
Co2 System - $98.88 (http://stores.kegconnection.com/Detail.bok?no=246 - I bought this a while back to make soda)
2 Kegs - $50
Fittings - $10 (Used -courtesy of Jmac)
* Still need to setup up distribution for CO2 to both kegs

Here are some photos:

Now I'm drinking beer ... and eating some homemade pizza

Looks good, it is similar to mine.  I bought the SS Danby from Costco, I liked it because it didn't have a freezer.

nice job for sure........like already stated, the fridges at costco have no freezer....so would be less work without having to deal with the freezer shelf....and cheaper too. i know, too late for you, but for future reference for anyone else doing this same thing.

for your CO2 lines, easiest and cheapest way would probably be to just split your line with a " T " to the two kegs...
