I've tried this method (HBT Cheap beer gun (http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/we-no-need-no-stinking-beer-gun-24678/)) a few times, with alright results.
I took some to my buddy a few weeks ago and he mentioned that the two he drank after two weeks were flat.
I'd like to pull 6-12 bottles off each batch, so I'm thinking I might pull the trigger on the Blichman unit soon. Worth it, eh? OBK has them for $75 and the accessory kit is $25. NG has them for $90 but don't seem to carry the accessory kit. Is it something I can easily piece together with common parts? Doesn't look too complicated.

Can't remember but I think I just pieced the accessory kit together myself...
You can borrow my beer gun any time to see if it's an improvement

I bottled some lemonade from a keg a couple of months ago, and they're still carbonated...I just used a growler filler and some flip-top bottles. Have you tried it yourself after 2 weeks?
-
Nope... maybe that's a good idea to try.

I find myself that chilling your bottles before you put the beer in helps retain the co2. I've tried both ways, and chilled bottles held their carbonation much better after weeks of sitting.
