I'm in need of something to make a 9/16" hole in my kettle in order to install my sight glass. Anybody have anything I can use?
-
I think what you really might want is one of these...

Ahhh, yes. That would do nicely JQ. Can I get this from you on Saturday?
-
Remind me Tomorrow night and I"ll put it in the car before I go to work on Sat at 6 am, when I regularly forget pretty much everything as I go out the door!

Will do. Thanks JQ!

I have hole saws that I could loan you as a back up if you'd like?
-
Thanks Chris. I'll keep that in mind.

I ended up buying a step bit. Cost me $50, but it worked great. The sight glass is now installed and calibrated. Now I'm just waiting on my new kettle.
-
What'd you get for a kettle Chris?
I'm buying a sanke off Jake if he ever gets back to me in msg XD.

*sigh*, must be nice to have such a forgiving wife XD. If I bought that my wife would kill me XD.

Are you nuts? I didn't tell my wife. She just sees a pile of junk in the laundry room when she looks at my gear. She'll never know the difference

Talk to JQ about a forgiving wife!
