OK, I'm going to say it... I like it.

Sure it's not my favorite, but it's not bad for an industrial brewery. Nice copper color, decent short lived head with ok lacing. Smell has some malty fruit with a bit of floral also and of course hops (I have a cold, so take that with a grain of salt). Taste, is OK, some malt, some hop/earthy notes. Mouthfeel... a little thin, but pretty good... nice carbonation, finishes clean. Overall, meh, pretty good. If I needed a can fora canoe trip or the beach, I would bring along some Barking Squirrel.

Hope I don't get shot at the next meeting ;)

I actually drank a six of these a few weeks back... it's a nice enough drink, but it sure as hell isnt a lager beyond perhaps using a lager yeast. Way too roasty by far... tasted like they used amber malt.

edit: Ok on further investigation turns out BA recognises "American Amber Lager", so that's the end of that little mystery. Couldn't find anything in the BJCP, big surprise.

I drank some of this about a month back. After about two beers I realized it tasted exactly like Keiths to me. No maltiness, minimal hops, and a very distinct Keiths taste. But mabey I should buy another 6 pack to verify

Definitely didn't taste like Keiths - there's a serious toasted streak running through the palate, and it's a fair bit hoppier. Didn't notice the same DMS-ey tang you get in KIPA either.

My guess is you either got served from the wrong tap, or an old batch.
