Title: WTB a stir bar
Post by: Waterlogged on August 09, 2013, 05:01:51 PM
Going to make a stir plate based on a youtube video.  I have amassed all the required pieces except I am not sure where to get the stir bar.  Would anyone have and extra one for sale or should I go with ebay?

I was just looking at some of those DIY stir plate videos today too... I'm debating if I should build one from old CPU parts and this fan controller (http://dx.com/p/pci-3-channel-chassis-fan-speed-controller-regulator-230510 (http://dx.com/p/pci-3-channel-chassis-fan-speed-controller-regulator-230510)) or if I should just order one from OKB, they have them on sale:

Their stir bars are on sale too for $3.99:

Hard to beat those prices...

What are you using for a flask?

I have that stir plate from OBK.  It's great, and it comes with a stir bar.  Those "sale" prices though are their everyday prices.

Those are good prices but figured I would go the DIY route.  Have all the PC parts so figure it will cost me less than 15 bucks.  If it doesnt end up working, I will go the with the OBK one.
