motor and pwr supply for grain mill, 2 burners
« on: January 21, 2016, 06:48:54 PM »
I have a motor and pwr supply that I don't use. I don't remember what i paid. I'd ask $75 for both. I'm sure somebody will let me know if i'm off base with the price. Also 2 buners with stands and reg with hoses 100 $ for both. never used. paid 80 usd each.
I have never pretended to be something I'm not, except sober, I have pretended to be sober a few times.

Roger. I don't rember the specs but someone on here posted the same items a year or more ago to pwr their grain mill and i sourced the same thing out. I use a 1 " drill to pwr mine and never had time or  effort to rig this up. I let mitch bigger at Railcar have it for ... geez a year or more and he never rigged it up either. If you want to "try before you buy" i can deliver it some time

I'm not planning to build a grain mill. I just like having DC motors on hand for other projects and experiments.
Let me know if you happen to find the spec's.

Specs on these motors as per ebay adds:

0.2 HP APROX (150 WATTS)
Uses 12V DC

RPM on these is around 190-200 so the mill shaft can be connected directly to the motor (unlike most standard AC motors that need a large pulley/belt to reduce the 1725 rpm). Also, because this is a DC motor, connecting it to a simple polarity reversing switch should give you a reverse to help with any freerolling.

Assuming it has enough torque to mill grains with most crushers (it should), that is the motor I would use if I were to build another electric grain mill:
