Maple syrup
« on: April 19, 2013, 04:54:16 PM »
Hey Folks,
Season is over and if anyone wants some syrup for boiling or just to eat on your pancakes I can bring some to the AGM on the 27th. For $3 /lb i don't think you will find it cheaper anywhere else. A gal of syrup weighs 13.25 lbs so if you know where you can buy a gal of syrup for under $40 let me in on it. This is not your superstore , sobeys or cosco stuff. It's dark in color ( on the light transmittance meter its around 12 out of 100) the stuff in stores is usually 50 or 60. Very strong maple taste. I'll bring it in bulk to the meeting and you bring your jug(s).  If possible pm me in advance so i know how much to bring, if any.
I have never pretended to be something I'm not, except sober, I have pretended to be sober a few times.

I'll take a quart, or a litre, or however you're packaging it.  It wouldn't be for the boil though.  Do you have it in bottles?

The Co-op Country Store on St. Mary's sells all the bottle sizes in bulk for very reasonable prices.

If you're bringing it in bulk, I can bring some Grolsch bottles or something like that to fill.

I'll bring a scale so I can weigh it out, obviously , make sure your bottles are clean. I do have bottles but I'm assuming brewers have lots of containers  :P Not trying to get rich , just letting you guys get some syrup for a decent price

Same here, I'll take some for sure.  I think I have a couple of 1L mason jars kicking around.

Thanks!

Shout out to Leonard - still enjoying your maple syrup.
It's probably the best I've ever had. Really amazing.

I'm planning on bringing a couple bottles to fill. That last stuff I got from you in April never lasted long!! It was quite the hit at the house ... borderline fist fights were breaking out over it lol

Had to lay the smack down on a couple different occasions.

This is an old thread.  You'll be disappointed Jake.
