You can produce 1000 beers a day with this setup.

I call... shenanigans.

For some reason Island View rings a bell re: the club... is this one of our members, or one of the sattelite folks?

Yeah.  The $1000 worth of gear is a bit far-fetched too. I say $400 max.

prob over 100 hours of design, construction, research and purchasing.

Looking at what he built (mash tun, fermentation chamber, kettle), this guy was really taking his time with such a simple setup.

... he's making it sound like be built an electric brewery. 100 hours seems a bit exaggerated

If this includes a keezer with some Perlicks on it and Co2, it could be worth the aforementioned $1k, but I don't see one in the pictures.

Lets see, 340 ml bottle x 1000 = 340 litres/day

Yesterday I ran my 30 gallon kettle with a batch and got 80 litres finished, so I'd need to run about 4 batches a day to get my 1000 beers a day... so if you were to run 8 batches a day with his gear...
Maybe they're 1000 really, really small beers.

I think he made a typo...he probably meant 100 beer a day.

I wonder why he's getting out of brewing...

Given he's off by a factor of 10, he probably got discouraged at the cost ;)... Either that or he tried brewing a beer with 100lbs of grain ;) *snrk*.
