I think you can get the double beer towers from http://www.ontariobeerkegs.comfor $90 if I'm not mistaken, or singles for $73, so not a sweet deal by any means. I'm considering getting a couple more dual towers in the coming months and will likely order from that site.

I bought one of those new on ebay for $30, but it was several years ago. There is a problem for homebrew users with the standard faucets like that one that causes them to stick really badly if not used every day. I broke several tap handles, for example.

I highly recommend a tap (tower mounted, or shank mounted) that is forward sealing such as a Perlick or Ventmatic.

Yeah that's a BIG problem for me - they stick on all the time!!

For some things, beveragetime.com has awesome prices, and the shipping cant be beat (seriously 2 days to my door both times I ordered from there). The perlick (525) for example is 31.50. The dual tower there is 129 but I believe its all 100% S/S...

I don't find the sticking to be too much of a problem at all. I have the same tower and if you let it sit a couple days or a week (which is rare, but it will occasionally happen) you'll feel it will somewhat stick, but not to the point where I fear it may break ... knock on wood. It probably is worth the extra money for the better taps such as perlick, but I'm a cheap bastard and until I actually have money, these work just fine by my standards.

Regarding shipping, I've never dealt with them so no idea. Someone in the group (possibly Jmac or Brian??) posted the link a couple months ago and I thought prices were very good, even better than what I've seen in the states ... but the main concern is shipping; maybe they gauge you on S&H.

I've not heard any bad dealings with Patrick, lots of praise from other homebrewers accross the country.

Yeah im thinking about getting the dual tower kit for 219.99... It says 25.91 for shipping. So including taxes and shipping it comes to 274.50..

http://www.ontariobeerkegs.com/product_ ... kegkit.htm

Could see if they would give me a deal on a couple of the perlick faucets rather than the standard ones the kit comes with...

Just email Patrick and ask him, he's great to deal with from what i've been hearing. He JUST got the perlicks and 3gal kegs in....so he probably didn't get a chance to redo the website with packages for the perlicks.

that looks like a good deal, but yeah, have him swap the standard faucets for Perlick 525's. Hopefully the difference in price will be less than $15/ faucet

On Jake's point about the standard ones, I think mine worked fine for the first year or two, but then the sticking got really bad.

yep, several times, but I found the problem got worse unless the cleaning was done every couple of weeks.

So ive been e-mailing Patrick back and forth a bit... He added an option that allows you to upgrade to perlick faucets... but for an additional $27 per faucet. So to upgrade my dual tower to Perlick im looking at another 54 bucks.. Seems a little steep, but from what you guys are saying, it might save me some trouble in the long run.

Im looking at about $350 tax and shipping included... for the kit + two way manifold + perlick faucets...
