Brewed on 14 April, Bottled on 03 May, drinking tonight. The orange really came out in this one, may stick with just the dry orange peel next time. Also added 2 teaspoons of flour in two cups of water at 5 min left to keep a haze in the beer. Is well carb and tasting good after just 3 days in the bottle.

flour in beer to keep a haze. First time I've heard of that. You've tried this before and it works well?
-
Sounds nice! What yeast did you use? And can you notice the Munich - does it taste like 0.5 lbs is enough?
-
Add more zest after fermentation is complete

I used US-05 in this one just to keep a neutral taste and easy drinking beer that everyone would like. I had heard that using US-05 would cause the beer to drop clear, and had also had that people had added flour to give the illusion that the beer is cloudy like a wheat beer should be.

I might try this one - I have a packet of sweet orange peel and another of bitter orange peel - might try this without the zest and see what I get - thanks for posting....

I would never ever add flour to my beer just sayin
-
I just googled it and a fair amount of people add a small amount of flour to the Wits to ensure a starch haze. I heard about it and figured it would not impact the flavour so I gave it a whirl.

Definitely a bit unorthodox, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating... or the beer in the drinking; so let us know how it goes :)

Unorthadox = Belgian :wavebeer:
I added only 6 g of orange zest (apx 1/3 of an orange) to my last beer and I can taste it... zest from 2 oranges should come through quite strong. I would love to sample this. At least like to hear from you if the orange is balanced or not. Cheers.

I would see that there is no miss the addition of orange peel in this beer. But it isn't overpowering. FWIW this is the first brew that my daughter actually liked and didn't go ewwww to bitter. (I am usually a big hop head)

Yeah, I know what you mean, it was damned near impossible to get my 3 year old to finish her beer before she left the table...

And yeah... only beer I ever made that my wife liked was an apricot american wheat.
-
Eh, my wife's liked a lot of my beers.

My daughter is 9 and always tries a sip of each beer I make. Like I said she usually makes the bitter beer face and that is the end of it. When I was extract brewing I had to keep an eye on her or she would eat the DME before I got it in the BK.
