This is my attempt at a Red Racer clone, Central City has their hop and malt ingredients on their website, I didn't use Carastan or Superior Pale Malt, just what I had, but BeerSmith got me nearly spot on to the IBU and SRM with what I had for ingredients. Got 80% efficiency on this, every beer I've done lately I've had awesome efficiency with, think I finally have my crush fine enough that I'm even blowing the BeerSmith estimates away, with a 1.070 on this one. ABV will be higher than Red Racer, but who complains about a higher ABV?

I made a clone that I based off a recipe from Dan's Homebrewing in Vancouver that apparently got the nod from one of the brewers at Central City. The original grain bill was 15lbs E.S.B. malt and crystal 70/80 but I kept the hop schedule.

15 min 1.3 oz Centennial

I'm pretty sure I found Simcoe but I can't remember. It turned out pretty damn close and was probably one of the better IPAs ive personally made.

Nice! I am excited to get it kegged and drinking it. The wort tasted really good. Hopefully I will make it to a meeting after its done.

I was lucky enough to try it... It was very close to the the real thing and just as delicious!
Gave it 4.5 stars on Untappd :rock:
This recipe is on my ever growing "to brew" list.

Well I've been inhaling the keg, so I definitely like it. :drink:
I did change one thing on the recipe in dry hopping, I left out the centennial and used an ounce of the German magnum instead to achieve the spice.
I would like to get my hands on a bag of Carastan and Superior Pale malt though, if you look on Centrals website they state they use those two malts with the Marris Otter to get 14 SRM, mine was 13.3 with the Crystal 100 and still darker than the actual RR. So that being said, Dave carries those two malts at Everwood, so I will try this one again with those malts and see if I can get it closer.
