Title: IPA-ish All Grain *Dry-Hopping Question*
Post by: Kyle on January 12, 2011, 09:03:27 PM
9 # Bohemian Pils
2 # Vienna
1 # Wheat Malt
3 oz Roasted Barley

1.75 oz Cascade (5.6%a/a pellets) @60min
1 oz Cascade @15min
1 Whirlfloc tablet (refined Irish Moss) @15min
1 oz US Saaz (5.8%a/a pellets) @1min

US-05 yeast

Mashed @155F for 1 hour
Batch Sparged @165F for 15 minutes (missed target of 168F)

After two weeks in primary, I intend to dry-hop with pellets in a hop-bag, in the same vessel. I am thinking that I'll go with 1oz Cascade and 0.5oz Saaz mixed together in the bag for 10 days, and then keg.  Any suggestions on the dry-hopping technique, time, or hops used?

I'd suggest you listen on something you can readily skip forwards on -- they're a little heavy on adverts and off-topic content at times.

So I let this ferment for 2 weeks, and then I added:

1oz of Cascade pellets,
1oz of Saaz pellets

in fine hop bag, let sit another 2 weeks.

WOW is it good.
