This will be the last IPA / Pale Ale / American Wheat I brew for a while... planning to go on a bit of a style-tour to break out of old habits. Will still be brewing one stout to put in the pipeline after this before my little expedition. First stop will be Saison, using a heat-belt, but more on that later...

I am SOOOOoooo gonna get this on after my current brew cycle, next week I hope!
Now to come up with a star trek name...hmmm

Mashing now... that Carafa Special III sure does blacken up the wort. Smells beautiful; no roastiness really, just a mellow blanket of maltiness.
I should add, that I'm trying to shoot for the Garrison IIPA hop-bill here.

Yeah, the Carafa Special III is like 500+ SRM so it should darken it up for sure.
-
JQ: Surely you can do something around "Black Hole" :P
-
I only used 4 oz of the carafa III and my rye turned real dark - but I agree still smells awesome!

Looks like a lot of tasty potential with this! Maybe I'll get lucky and snag a taste ;-)

How about "Event Horizon"
-
Do it :D

Re-running today.
