Chocaholic Stout
« on: July 08, 2012, 07:43:32 PM »
Recipe designed to taste similar to semi-sweet milk chocolate. Similar to the Fat Bastard Stout I made a while back, with tweaks to accentuate the flavours I found there.

10lbs Maris Otter
1.25lbs Muscovado Sugar
1.5lbs Pinhead Oats - Toasted on stove-top in skillet.
1lb Carafa-Special I
1lb Cara-Munich III
1lb Flaked Barley
0.5lb Carafa-Special II
0.5lb Cara-Munich II
0.25lb Roast Barley

1.0oz Challenger @ 120
0.5oz Challenger @ 30
0.5oz EKG @ 30

Ringwood Yeast (Wyeast)

Mash 4 gallons @ 156, sparge 6 gallons @ 168.

OG ~1.075, FG ~1.020, Abv ~7%.
