Title: Dirty Rascal Oatmeal Stout
Post by: Jake on September 05, 2011, 09:33:54 PM
Rascal = My dog's name and he happens to be a black lab ... cheesy, I know

8lb 2-row
.75lb roasted barley
.75lb chocolate malt
1lb vienna
1lb quick oats

Mashed 14L @ 155 (1.33qts/lb ratio), Sparged 15L @ 168, used absorption ratio of .015gal/lb assuming 6L absorbed

1.25oz East Kent Goldings @ 60min
.5oz Willamette @ 15min

This recipe was derived from Kyle's stout recipe but slightly tweaked. Can't wait for this one.

Kegged a couple days early for I can have it at Saturday's meeting. Flavour was delicious. Hopefully the carbonation is good for the meeting. Can't wait to share this one!!
