I over-shot the gravity of this one by 4 points, and it fermented out a bit more than I expected, so it's about 6.8%!

I'm going to have to get a better mash tun.  I recently measured, and lost about 5F over an hour.  That's probably contributing to the lower finish.  Any recommendations?

Oh!...and this is delicious :)

My mash tun loses about the same and its the coleman extreme.  But you did say the beer is good so I wouldn't change a thing.

I have the orange tupperware igloo and I loose about 1-2 degree F per hour.  My last brew I did a 4 hour mash (mashed at lunch, sparge after work), started @ 151 and finished @ 143.  I only have the 5 gal and I'm about to purchase a 10 gal to do higher gravity beer.  I was thinking purchasing the coleman extreme but I might just buy the 10 gal igloo instead since I think I will do 4-hour mash for all my belgians

I don't if it would help insulate the mash tun with heat insulation foil?

I was mashing for 75 minutes, so that probably contributed to the loss.
